I want to record Hedgewars, an open source 2D game. I discovered an open source alternative to fraps called Taksi. This seems like a very good option to use, but I cant play/record with it without encountering a significant amount of lag. The game itself though is virtually lagless. What is the best FPS rate/ settings for this, and is there anything else I can do to the computer to make it lag less? Thanks!

BTW: If you like worms, try Hedgewars! It's free and really fun. If you go online my user is bub!

I dont really like taksi, or at least it didnt work for me.. I would use msi afterburner's option to record videoss (free as well)

Your eye can see 24 frames per second, i would suggest recording at 30 fps no higher or lower for the best result. I dont know if your computer can handle that data rate, but try it. Please reply if you find it laggy.

What video card do you have?
This is a common error and can be fixed by reinstalling or updating the old drivers with the latest graphic drivers.

youve got integrated graphics, the reason your getting lag is because your computer cant handle both the game and the recording app.
investing in an aftermarket gpu will help

As said by badger906, you have integrated graphics that's the reason your system turns out laggy.
Try upgrading your graphics card.
