Running W-7 x64. Installed an older disk printer program and then an update I had. The shortcut icon from the initial installation will not be removed from the desktop. How do I get rid of the bugger?

Thanks in advance

OK now. Sorry to bother.. Dawned on me to delete the program completely then dump the first desktop shortcut icon before installing the update- only leaving the workable desktop shortcut icon. Amazing, Huh? Sometimes I scare myself..
Thanks
