How do I delete a port?

I created a port in the `Add a Printer` > `Add a Local Printer`. Since my printer is USB, I did not use an existing LPT port nor an existing COM port. I created a `Local Port` and called it `printerPort`.

I did this because I am trying to install a USB printer and strangely the readme instructions say that `Add a Printer` > `Add a Local Printer` is to be used even though USB printers shouldn't have to be installed this way. The installation did not work and now I want to delete the port (a Local Port, that I named `printerPort`).

Try this:

Go to Start > Devices and Printers
Select any printer listed (doesn't matter which one)
In the top row you will now see an option for "Print Server Properties"
Click that, then go to the Ports Tab
Scroll down to find the port you created > click "Delete Port"

That should do it!
