According to the usual help

open task sched, select the task, right click or select a command in the action panel.

unfortunately there isnt a delete or disable command in the action panel and right click does nothing.

in the action panel on the right i can see the following
connect to a computer
create basic task
create task
import task
display all running tasks
disable all task history

at service account config
view [hidden tasks]
refresh
help

any clues?

in the action panel to the right of task scheduler, halfway down there is more options under the heading Selected Item. These are:
Run
End
Disable
Export
Properties
Delete
Help

If you click on the task, then select Delete from that list, you will remove the scheduled event from task scheduler.

If you right click you should have the option to delete if you have the security. I don't think that everything can be deleted. Unless you know that you don't need a task you shouldn't mess with it.

If it is any help, you have to select a scheduled task first, for "Selected Items" submenu to show in right pane.
Otherwise, if you click on blank space below the scheduled items, then "Selected Items" disappears from display.
