I'm not too computer literate, but very willing to learn

The problem I've got is that I'm trying to install a new antivirus software that comes with new broadband provider, but it fails due to IOBit Malware Fighter which it says cannot be removed automatically.

I've tried to use the suggested method on this forum to remove programme, but it's still on and preventing installation.

There seem to be three programmes listed using IOBit as the publisher on my computer they are

IOBit Malware Fighter Version 1 (installed 12.8.11)

Smart Defrag2 Version 2.1 (installed 12.8.11)

Advance System Care 4 Version 4.0.1 (installed 12.8.11)

Any help would really be appreciated

Pam

Hi Pam,
Most people would tell you to use Revo uninstaller, personnally i actually use the Iobit one.
So go Revo, download it from a reputable site ie Majorgeeks.

What i do find strange thou,

Those 3 programmes are all out of date and should have automatically updated to the newer versions.

Malware fighter IS NOT an antivirus program, and should have let you download the sky/bt/virgin/talktalk AV program.

I would also download and run the free version of malwarebytes, if you cannot then it would point towards an infection, IMF and malwarebytes can be used at the same time.
