Solved How do I exit a loop-install of office 2003 and then uninstall it

Bascally, I tried to replace office 2003 with a more recent version and found an .iso file on the internet. The instalation went smooth and the program worked fine, but the problem is that I mounted the iso with DAEMON tools, which came together with a browser hijacker called yessearches. I tried to remove it using this method, but at step 2 my computer couldn't connect to the internet. I called my mobile provider but they couldn't help me as it appeared the problem was that adw cleaner changed things in the registry. So I went to an earlier restore point but now office 2003 keeps trying to install all the time even if I cancel it and I cannot uninstall. What can I do to uninstall office 2003?

@Layback Bear: The problem was not uninstalling yessearches, the problem was that I tried removing yessearches and after getting to step 2 I could no longer connect to the internet because adw cleaner appears to have made some registry changes. So I went to an earlier restore point and everything was fine except office 2003 kept reinstalling and telling me to install something what was on its original disk (which of course I no longer have it). Because of that I couldn't remove it.

@torchwood: in the meantime I found a gap and managed to uninstall it in the traditional way. But thanks for the program, it's really useful!

Where exactly are you download from?
I have never heard of AdwCleaner stopping a system from going to the internet.

yessearches probably changed setting within your system. Many infections will do that to try to stop you from going online to get help.

Have you verified your system is clean of infections?

I got adw cleaner straight from the link in that article. After doing the job, all I got while opening a new website was the message that the proxy server couldn't be accesed. So I called my mobile phone company and told them what happened and they said me to change the DNS and the IP adresses to automatic, but it didn't work. So I told them what happened before and they told me it might have been a registry change and that I have to reinstall my windows.

And yes, after that I made a full scan of the system.

For downloading AdwCleaner I recommend going to Bleeping Computer and ticking on this button. When I use this method I always get a clean download.



Another program that I use on demand when I'm checking for problems is Eset free online scans. It takes a while but I have found it to do a great job.
