I need help on how to fix run-time error 13. Every time I turn off my computer I get this message that says run-time error 13 type mismatch. How do I fix this.

If this error happens on shutdown all the time you may have acorrupter line in your Registry.

One way to start trying to fix is to download the FREE program CCLeaner.
This is a great program that most of us use. It cleans garbage from your hard drive but also has a great and safe Registry Cleaner. I feel confident this may help you resolve your error on shutdown.

I'm trying the cleaner and the registry cleaner and I will tell you if it works.

I used the program and when I shut my computer down the same message came I even used the cleaner and the registry cleaner. Just one question will system restore work.

Sorry but I must ask to insure you ran CCleaner correctly and removed old stuff.

After using CClean you removed the garabge files on your HD. Correct?

Now did you run CClean after selecting Registry? Did it find errors?
Did you select to selete them?

It was automaticly selected to delete and there was no errors when selecting Registry.

What causes the problem is a program in the background that is not properly shutting down when you shut off your computer.
I know this may be a long shot but when this started did you install any older game or program that may not be compatible with Win7?

If you can't remember try this.
Open the DOS Command prompt by writing CMD in the search window
After it opens type this and let me know if it comes up with anything.
sfc /scannow

If nothing shows up I want you to download this file from Microsoft.

It said Windows did not find any integrity violations but I will download the other file later tonight.
