Hi there,

When I move my mouse fast to left or right or up or down, it falters.

Like keep moving fast from left to right , the gets draw to right.

I am using a registery fix but don't know if it's cause of that.

Thanks linnemeyerhere, I've done my system specs (as good as) cause I still don't know a few things about my PC like cooling etc...

Anyways, this is my mouse Logitech M-SBF-90 Black Optical Mouse and I have connected it to some special thing which converts PS2 to USB.

Greetings

Not sure but looking up this mouse at Logitech it's not a W7 mouse. Vista instructions below:
"Download Instructions

This device uses the native drivers when used with Microsoft Vista™. If you do not have Vista, please select another operating system from the dropdown list above.

This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare, which are not compatible with Vista. We strongly recommend to uninstall iTouch and/or MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista. After iTouch and MouseWare are uninstalled, the basic functionality of your devices will be provided by the Windows native driver."
Do you have another mouse you can try out? Have you tried another usb port on the back IO panel only? Blast some air to clean optical lens?

Thanks for the search but I don't have iTouch or MouseWare :(, I think it has been installed by the native windows7 driver.

Do you have another mouse you can try out?
Yeah, I've just tried one, a Value Optical Mouse M-BT83 (USB port) but this one just trips when I do the fast movement lol.

Have you tried another usb port on the back IO panel only?
Yes and I think it was even worse , I was on this page and moved the mouse fast and it started clicking too and closed this page so now I'm typing this for the 2nd time :D

Blast some air to clean optical lens?
Done that too (had 1 hair in it yesterday) but still has the issue.

I also tried doing the sens very high and it does it there too, maybe I should make a small movie to demonstrate what it does? Yeah I'm going to do that, I'll post the video in 10 minutes

EDIT: Ok I've tried just the exact mouse (I've got 2x Logitech M-SBF-90 Black Optical Mouse) and same issue, even the same movement.

Here is the video of me recording my mouse : http://www.mediafire.com/?p83au8b1mu4ek14 (placed it in a ZIP file for filesize)

Hope it makes something clear but I keep thinking it mathers cause the mouse aint made for fast movement but I could be wrong, I don't know much about hardware.

Another bug has appeared, when I put my PC in sleepmode, and then move my mouse and log in, my mouse doesn't work anymore when I return on the desktop, neither does scroll.

To fix this I have to restart my PC, go to Device Manager and uninstall the HID-mouse.

Maybe all this is connected?

KENNITHH,
Now I think you're on to something. Go through all your sleep settings and turn them off, screen save yes, sleep mode no for the time being. Then go into your start up menu and hunt around for all the programs to drop that don't need to load till you ask them too. This is a setting issue but having never had this issue other than on an older less powerful system I had all programs in start up mode and it caused similar mouse issues.....somehow with the power your rig has I can't see even that being the problem but crazier things have happened. Stay with it because you'll happen on something that makes the difference.

Ok, I've found something in that energy management, some USB-setting which interrupts my USB when going in savemode (I think) but this doesn't fix the mousemovement bug =( and I don't know if it would fix the Sleep Mode thing too, and btw I just do sleepmode cause when I go downstairs for a while my dad comes up, sees my PC is still on then hes mad cause it uses electricity while I'm not on it :p

Something else, the programs I boot automaticly are : CloneCD Tray (no problem normaly); Rivatuner (might be a problem); Q3E Minimizer (might be a problem too) and the logitech profiler (also might be a problem :p)

Take them out one at a time and reboot and play around. Only load those absolutely need program to run AV and the like. All else can be opened normally via All Programs or launch icons. Then when you've found the culprit then set up the sleep mode to fool your dad.
