I just reformated my computer 2-3 times because of browser crashing games crashing and bsod. I did a sfc/scannow and found out i had windows corrupted files so i reformated. I did it all from a windows xp profession to windows 7. I also did this in safe mode and didn't do any quick selections. I've done memory diagnostic and everything seems fine. I've also read in a few forums to download MSE and I have to do a scan and i get "Security Essentials isn't monitoring your PC because the program's service stopped. You should restart it now" and I did and it keeps bringing that up. All i have on this computer is AVG and some Utilities my motherboard CD gave me. Like easytune6 and realtalk for sound. I've had these crashes for sometime and the windows corrupted files feels like the reason since i tryed everything that I could think of. All my windows update installed perfectly and never gotten an errors. So any help would be nice Thank you.
I started with windows 7. I was told to just reformat to put the windows xp pro in and boot at start and reformated that way. So i did and did everything in safe mode then I put windows 7 which i installed windows 7 ultimate 64 "ive also done 86 and still got these errors" in restart the computer then ran it in safe mode. Then after use my motherboard cd to get my drivers then used windows update to do everything else.
I want to reformat windows 7 with no corrupted files. I just got a Bsod page fault in nonpaged area. Thats twice within 2hours of finishing reformating. The first bsod was a win32k.sys. I just dunno why im getting these problems. I was told by a TECH that my system is spec was fine and it could be a windows corrupted file so i should reinstall windows 7 and i did and still get these corrupted files.
So for the Windows 7 install it works just fine with the upgrade windows 7? or do i need to buy the FULL windows 7?
What protection do u suggest then. ALl i hear is Nortan is garbage, AVG is better
I've followed that windows 7 clean install only difference is i don't have a usb drive so i dont get internet untill after i install so all the updates dont install. Till after i update them when i install the drive. Before i installed windows 7 i made sure it was clean when i installed it but still got corrupted windows files. So confused.. maybe a bad disk?
You should get your network drivers from the manufacturers website of your pc before you start the install, use the pc you are using now and put the drivers on a cd if you have to.
But windows will more then likely have the network drivers, so don`t worry about it.
Are you using a dvd for the install ?
Where did you get the Windows 7 install dvd from ?
I've said it on top MSE gives me program service stopped issues. I havnt used MAM tho. I have a copied windows 7 cd from my dad. The same one he used on his computer but he has no corrupted errors. It just says Windows 7 ALL on the cd. I can install any windows 7 on it. BTW The pc im on is the one with corrupted files on it. I don't have a cd to use and i don't know where to find the internet driver or website that i have to go to.
You need a key to install Win7. Buy an Upgrade version and then Clean Install Windows 7 deleting all partitions during install.
