Just purchased a new Lenovo laptop & was having unknown USB devices shown under printers & devices. It was a external usb hub & a fan. I had a choice to check let Windows Update & forgot to check the box to search for best drivers. Both werworking fine after the error.

Is this a problem not to have W7Pro seach for best drivers?

It shouldn't be a problem as long as everything is working properly. You could always do a manual check by opening Device Manager and see if there are any yellow or red warning flags.

How Do I Open Device Manager in Windows 7?

Or, you could automatically (or not) download recommended drivers and detailed information and icons for your devices through Windows Update.
