How do I install WC3?

Hey guys I hope everyone is having a better day then me, cus man reinstalling everything has been a pain.

Heres my problem i'm trying to install WC3, what I did was go to the WC3 CD folder then right clicked on the install file and changed the compatibility to windows xp sp2, and it went through but it just stoppped installing a third of the way in and hasn't moved at all.

So if someone knows a solution to my problem I would greatly appreciate it!

I've never had any issues installing it on 7 without compatibility mode.

It would probably help if you tell us your system specs.

I also installed it without Problems and without compatibility mode!
Maybe some window of UAC opend in the backround?

Register your copy of WC3 at Battle.net and download the installer, this method worked fine for me and it had no compatibility issues.
