How do I launch Windows 7 from my SSD

A few months ago I got an SSD and it's been working perfectly until today.
My friend installed Windows on my SSD, and it has been working fine, except when I came home today, Windows seems to have launched from my HDD with old settings and bookmarks. No one used my PC and I didn't mess around with any system settings. It was fine in the morning.
How do I launch it from my SSD again?

Sounds like the default boot drive has been changed in the BIOS.
When you first boot up Press the key that is indicated for the Boot menu (could be F11, F12, etc). Select the SSD from the menu and see if it boots. If it does, that would say the default boot drive has been changed in the BIOS. If it does not boot, that suggests something has happened to the SSD.

If nothing was manually changed and the boot drive did change in the BIOS, possibly the CMOS backup battery (usually a CR2032 coin cell) may be defective.

Go into your bios and change your boot priority.

Or, if you dont want that hdd to boot anymore do

windows button + R
type cmd in the windows run box (black box should pop up)
type "diskpart"
type "list disk"
note the disk number of the hdd with windows on it
type "select disk [number that corresponds to your hdd]"
clean

This will mark everything on the hdd as deleted.
If you want to use it as an external hdd, you can set that up in the hard disk partition program (search it in cortana box)

I highly suggest NOT using Diskpart.

He does not say anything about wiping his hard drive.

Jack has already given him great advice.

Once he boots into the ssd without issue, then he can consider formatting the hard drive.

With Partition Wizard, and NOT Diskpart.
