how do i make the win7 taskbar smaller?

i have an question....
i have windows 7 ultimate 32bit installed and i want my taskbar smaller then the "Use small icons" option, Does someone how i do that >or someone know how to do it in the registery. Thanks.

sorry - i misread your post

i don't know how to do that without hacking files and i'd have to research that, if it's even an option
