Solved How do I network XP and 7

I have a desktop computer running xp and a laptop running windows 7. The desktop has a lot of files and programs related to XP. Is there a way to network the two so that I can access the XP computer from my 7 laptop.

Hi there
Ensure user Id and password is the same on both (not absolutely mandatory but makes it easier), Share the disks you want to share and enable Network discovery on the W7 machine.

Ensure also both computers are on the same network name e.g WORKGROUP.
