How do I prevent my PC from sleeping or hibernating?

When I do a full virus scan of my PC, it usually sleeps in the middle, ho do I stop that from happening?

Do you mean it sleeps or just that the monitor turns off. It would be unlikely that it will go into sleep or hibernation mode while there is plenty of hard drive activity occurring.

If it's just the monitor shutting down, there is nothing to worry about. To revive the monitor just hit any keyboard key or move the mouse.
