Ever since I recovered from a virus/trojan attack in December, my PC hasn't been the same. I keep getting a pop-up from malware-bytes and spy-bot about a smitfraud c generic and svchost.exe problems. Needless to say, there is something happening that I can not put my finger on and realize that it is a very difficult and time intensive procedure to try to remove these issues. At one point, I could not connect to the internet and other issues were gradually popping up also.
Anyway, I've decided that the easiest thing to do is to remove all important files and then do a clean install of Win 7. My C: drive happens to be an SSD, so I'm not sure if there is a different procedure involved for this type of drive. Should I run Intel's Secure Erase, or just reinstall Win 7 and delete the partition? Thanks!
