I deleted Ubuntu Linux from my computer by deleting the partitions that contained it, but this also deleted GRUB and now my computer can't boot into Windows.

I looked online and it said I needed the Windows 7 disk to restore the Master Boot Record. I do not have the Windows 7 disk.

People also said that a disk called "Hiren's Boot CD" would also work. I obtained this but I don't understand how to use it. Does anyone here know? Apparently there is a program called "mbrfix" or "fixmbr" or one of those but I have no idea how to access it or how to make it work.

What should I do?

I have been struggling to get this resolved for last 5 days and have spent sleepless nights. Now I am back up on line and have a clean install.

Very effective

Thabk you. I was struggling with a system that refused to boot after I removed ubuntu and merged the partitions. This worked like a charm.
