how do I test cpu temp while running a game-confused

how do I test cpu temp while actually running a game. I have ausu p6x58d-e motherboard and i 7 950 processor. Using al suite but tells me temp only when click on icon it. Do i need add software or interrupt game., How do i get a log of temp while game was running.

Test msi afterburner does not make a log though but instead you will have graphs.

There are programs that superimpose that data on your screen, either third party or native to the game, I don't remember..........
