I have installed a new ssd (240GB) into my computer. Everything is currently on a 500GB HDD and I want to transfer all of it (including the op system) to the SSD.

How do I do this and ensure the computer boots from the SSD?

Smart decision. The Paragon Migration tool works really well. I have used it many times.

Although I have to say, the manual way of transferring the OS is a lot more fun and you could learn a lot too.

Wow. I'm still a novice at this stuff so I'll try the $19.99 program and see how that goes. thanks

Don't be like me and pay the $19.95 and then decide to do a Clean Install. Never did use the program.
I am with you. But for someone who is not used to work on the command line, the Paragon tool is handy. 3 clicks and you are done.

Funny, now I remember that thread on HTG - I had even posted on it. I guess you can try this freeware program. I have never used it because I like 'the hard way', LOL.
