In WinXP you could permanetly set the default view for folder icons like "list, icon or thumbnail". While that feature exists in Windows 7, it doesn't work like XP. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks.
From Windows Explorer:
Click the View tab then choose what you want.
Click on Tools then Folder Options.
Click on View tab then Apply to all folders.
Click OK as needed to get out.

In addition, if you wanted to apply a default folder view for all folders no matter what template they are using, then the tutorial below can help show you how to.
