SO I went to The HTML5 test - How well does your browser support HTML5?

and out of all my browsers IE9 32bit scored the lowest and SR Iron scored the highest.

BUT according to this video which is running benchmarks from the MS site -
IE9 is kicking butt and the others fall short

YouTube - Internet Explorer 9 vs. Google Chrome, Opera, and Mozilla Firefox

I duplicated the test with the same results - IE9 rips through it and the others lag up

Are these benchmarks geared towards the different browser engines thus generated varied results between tests?

should I consider a conspiracy or am I being silly

The HTLML5 test is reliable theres no conspiracy against IE9

The speed reading demo at Internet Explorer 10 Test Drive was written By Microsoft using code they have developed of course its going to make IE 9 look good. If that code makes it into the HTML5 specs the other browsers will probably incorporate it.
Similar demos written by Google Chrome show IE9 in a bad light
