I came across a statement recently in another forum that said it takes several hours to install Windows 7.
This sounds like an excessive claim. My own experience has been that Windows 7 and Windows 8, both install in 30 minutes or less. This is using the DVD install media. In the case of a reinstall, I realize it takes some time to re-install your favorite apps. Reconfigure your browser, bookmarks, etc, as well as restore your backups, files, photos and other contents of your home folder, plus get all the updates. But the same is true of any OS that you re-install.
Any thoughts on this topic?
