Hi, My Hard Disk Has 4 Partition:

C:\(For Windows 1) (40GB)
D:\(For Windows 2) (50gb)
E:\(My Backup Files) (50gb)
F:\(My Files) (80GB)

I want to install Windows 7 & Windows XP.

I have read Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP - Windows 7 Forums on how to install but it did not say which windows is better to install 1st & about two Partition installation instead it said i needed to create three partition C for boot D for win7 & E for Win XP.

Now i'm confused which windows to install 1st on which drive, I only want to install windows on Drive C & D.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks & Sorry for my bad English :)

Had I been in place of you, I would have installed XP in C (as it requires comparatively less space) first. Then I would install windows 7 in D (running the installation DVD from xp loged on). It will make the dual boot menu automatically.

But if the Win 7 is a 64 bit one, the process would not work (because a 64 bit os does not open from a 32 bit system). Then Win 7 also is to be installed by booting from dvd, and a tool like easybcd will be needed to add bootloaders properly.

You should install in order of age: Xp first to D, then Win7 to C.

Boot the disks to do each install.

Win7 should configure the dual boot when correctly installed last; otherwise use EasyBCD 2.0 beta to add XP from Win7.

Thanks, I will install both the OS by booting the disks (will try to install XP into C then Win 7 into D) or else i will install windows XP into C then install windows 7 using Window XP if the 1st way does not adjust my boot order correctly.

Will Let you guys know the result tomorrow as I can only collect get my Window 7 Pro from the shop tomorrow.

BTW: the windows 7 I'm getting is Pro x84(32bit).

Thanks again & sorry for my bad English :D
