How Many Activations

Hopefully, I will not have to use this information, but I am curious. I have seen several vague references in this forum about a limitation on the number of times you can activate using a retail and/or a upgrade disc. Does anyone have more detailed information?

This will probably depend on a time period. If you were to reinstall Windows on the same computer 1 or 2 times every year then you will probably never run into an activation limit.

Other Info
All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
