Hello bradac, welcometo Seven Forums!

1 license key = 1 install to one PC, unless you can purchase a Volume License Key to do multiple PCs.

Just one. One key one computer like it always has been. Unless you buy the family pack which is no longer being offered by Microsoft.

Hello Brad, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can only install and activate one Windows 7 on one computer per product key number. If you have a retail Windows 7 version, then you can install and activate it on another computer, but it must be completely uninstalled from any any prior computer first.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I'm guessing that this poster likely doesn't want to spend $500+ to put Windows 7 on his computers.

As long as it's understood by the OP that those are OEM and not retail and can only be installed to one machine and the individual keys can never be moved to another PC if need be. ;)

It is still $400 cheaper than buying 3 full individual licenses. Everything is relative. But then you can also get 3 OEM Home Premium for $315. So there are choices.

But he is entitled to upgrade pricing since he owns previous versions, so 3 x $104 for retail upgrades is only $312.

Unless I missed something.....

That is true. Did not think of it. I never buy upgrades but rather OEM's because I want to keep my old system - at least for a while. And I always install a new system on a seperate disk - no double boot.

New egg option

Thanks also for this info too, unfortunately over here across the pond we work in sterling not dollars which makes this option way too expensive for a simple home set up.
PS This will be my last comment on this topic, my question has been fully answered

This is not strictly true, as I have sucessfully given an OEM copy of 7 to my father who has installed it on a completely different specification PC and sucessfully activated. This is after I had done an Anytime upgrade to Ultimate on the original Home Premium PC using a new key, thereby making the old key valid again...or at least that's how I see it!

My original post detailing this can be found on page 3 of this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/68207-do-i-have-buy-another-windows-7-a-3.html
