How many folks here have 4-pin case fans?

Some of the earlier Asus boards had four pin chassis fan headers that were labeled as being PWM in the manual but actually weren't. Asus, via the Asus User Forums, claims it was a copy/paste error. Since Sandy Bridge-E the problem has been corrected and if a manual says the MOBO has PWM chassis fan headers, it does. I know mine does (P9X79 WS).

Yep, looks like they are. Very few boards have all PWM.

I'm pretty glad that board came with PWM headers since i mounted a water cooling system and the pump i choosed is one that have this feature, that i have also associated a radiator with 2 PWM fans. I could have go for 3pins but it surely will have forced me to use the Fan controller instead. Here, no worries, it does spin with the amount of heat produced!

Manies manufacturers instructions manuals do list multiple products at once with small chapter attended to them, i'm not so surprise some faulty misplaced sentences/tech-words slips sometimes. Glad some care of it and not confuse end-users.
