How Many PC's in your household?

Just wondering how many PC's are in your household.
I know when I was growing up, 20% of the people I knew had a computer, and they only had 1 since they were so pricey.

Today, everyone I know has a PC and it seems that a lot of them have more than than 1 in their household.

We have 7 PC's but one is stored and not used much (my Amiga 3000T), 1 of my laptops is used only to tune the engine on my Formula, the other is only used when I go to Ihop or Denny's.
And we have 4 Desktops that we use daily.

6 7 - and there's only me (and a cat or two) in my household.

only 4 of them really get used though

• my main desktop
  
• a laptop with a broken screen that just torrents most of the time
  
• netbook for bed and out-and-about
  
• whs server which lives in the kitchen

the other two have linux and xp on them, for when i'm in that kind of mood...

oh, and there's really old one in my bedroom with a fancy aluminium case that i'll do something with one day...

I currently have 3 desktop PC's, but only 2 in use ATM. My new one is a Win 7 Pro Sandybridge based rig built courtesy of the shared knowledge of this forum as it was my first build.

The second rig is a HP media center elite, upgraded and dual booting Vista HP and Win 7 Ult.

The 3rd is a older Compaq Presario model which is currently formatted but can be restored from a saved base image at any time.

Now i'm down to just my laptop, since my Vista desktop that I put in my kids room died. I don't have a clue what exactly is wrong with it, and I don't want to put any money into such an old machine. At least it's a retail copy of Vista, so at least that's salvageable.

1 Win7 Desktop
1 Win7 Laptop mostly used to teach classes at the computer club and for video work (it has an i7)
1 Win7 Laptop that the wife uses

In my German home

1 Win7 Desktop
1 Vista Laptop that the wife uses

In our NY room at the MOL's home

1 Vista Laptop that we rarely use because we are rarely there

And we never take any of the laptops on trips. For that I plan to buy a Tablet later in the year.

On shelves or in boxes; not being used: Approximately five.

Most I've ever had running at one time: Fourteen desktops, about five years ago. All running Folding@Home.
