windows professional 64... wondering as i have added afew and end up deleting and adding as many have terrible pictures or at least ones that would be very nice if photograper allowed enough sizing for larger monitors ie 1920 x 1200 on 24" monitor...yea i'm picky being a photog but some of them were downsized to where they are ruined on larger wdie gamut monitors.

so is there a point where too many are a problem?

i am on a puget systems built i7-940 w/ 12gbs ram @ 1600.

thanx

box built by Puget Systemsback in late Dec 2008 early i7 guy. had it built for my photography work with large raw files from Nikon D700 using Nikon NX2 and some lite music work from bundle that came with Xonar card.... Sonar, Ableton, Cakewalk, etc.

Stable as can be average around 9 to 10 using Windows 7 64 Reliability History.
Hello Chevy Sales,

About the only problem you would have would just be sorting through them all, but it's purely dependant on how much space you have available on your hard drive to save them on for how many you can have.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thanx I was hoping to hear that space is not an issue and it appeared unlike older:-) operating systems in 7 themes are not stored in system 32 folder which is a good thing.

Thank goodness not, but they are stored here just for reference.

Well, regarding custom themes (visual styles from DeviantART), i think it is unlimited, since i now got over 280 themes installed ;)

wow i wasn't planning on that many but i have added quite a few and deleted more than that wheni see how horrible some shots look..... dusk and dawn could have been a good one but when they turn it into a jpg (if it started as a raw file) and/or just over compressed it ruins the show with users who have better/large monitors.

Can the unwanted themes be deleted from these folders safely? (so that the Personalization window is not too unwieldy)

Darkstar,

In addition, yes you can delete the .theme files at those locations to not have them display in Personalization anymore. However, if you delete them, they will be permanently gone. You might move them somewhere else instead in case you decide to add a theme back later.

they can as easily be deleted from the personalization folder by right clicking on them and click delete. the folder from the user theme folder will go right in the trash. you of course can't delete a theme that is being used at the time.
