How move more than one folder at once

I feel stupid - but I can't move more than one folder at the same time. Also, when I move that one folder, just the contents in the folder move - not the folder itself. How do I do this? I want to move a number of consecutive folders at once. I should mention that these folders are subfolders of the Windows folder. Thank you.

You can press shift and click to highlight more than one folder, and I use this to move or copy folders,

Thanks, but that's not working. That's the way I always did it in the past.

Or to select individual folders you ctrl+click to select them.

However... Your moving folders that are subfolders of the /Windows folder? Did you put them there? If they are system folders you are not going to be able to move most/any of them due to permission issues. If they are your own folders that you put there then you should be able to remove them. (But you shouldn;t put naything under /Windows yourself anyway if that's the case)

I always use the mouse to "lasso" the folders I want to move/copy within Windows Explorer. This may be obvious, but if you are using WE, you need to make sure the folders you are trying to move/copy are in the right hand panel. You can select them via the keyboard or the mouse then drag them to the desired location in the left hand panel.

In addition, you can use the tutorial below to have check boxes to make selecting multiple random folders/files easier to do.

To select consecutive folders/files in a row, you can also select a folder/file, press and hold Shift, then click on a folder/file below to automatically select them.

To select multiple random folders/files, you can press and hold CTRL, then click on all of the folders/files that you want selected.

Thanks to all that responded. NOTE: I was trying to do this in the LEFT panel. Perhaps that's where I went wrong. Also, I never use the lasso method. Thanks for reminding me that it's an option.

Correct, you cannot multi-select in the left pane.

To re-iterate what was said previously, if you did not create the folders that you are trying to move then don't do it. Folders under Windows are part of the operating system and need to be left alone.

Go to the person you want to rep and go to the scales in the upper right hand corner. Click on the scales a box will appear say why you want to rep them and click the submit button.
