Hi.

Well I have a problem, I have 2 hard disks, one is for my music and movies, is dedicated for that, and the other disc has 2 partitions, one for the operative system and the other for documents of me.

When I install windows 7 for first time I have 1 disk with no partitions (the other is for mi movies and music, so don't touch this) I created the partition for system and this create the partition called reserved for system (100mb) and next create the second partition for mi documents.

Now I want to reinstall the system, so I deleted the partition containing the system and delete too the partition reserved for the system (thinking it would be created again when I created the partition for system) but for mi surprise only created the new partition and the system not create the system partition reserved for the system! so it don't permitting me to install, says that can't install.

I know that maybe the solution is delete all partitions in the hard disk one, but I have a partition with mi documents, and they are a lot and I cant move or copy to dvd or nothing, so I can delete the partition, so what can i do??? help!!!

thanks

Welcome to SF!

What does it say when you try to install to the new partition you created? Make sure the partition is Primary and formatted with NTFS.

Alternatively, delete the new partition, and tell it to install in the empty, unallocated space. It should automatically create the partitions it needs.
