How to add a language in Office 2007?

Finding myself in need of German proofing, I thought I would download the German language from Windows Update. The optional download list has plenty of languages but not German.

Can anyone tell me the procedure for achieving this please?

Have a look at this MS website. You may need to buy a language pack & there is some reference to that there as well.

Thanks for your reply. Apparently I need a German language pack but it is no longer available for Office 2007 (Microsoft's way of saying "Purchase a newer version of Office").

That's unfortunate. I have looked around the web & it seems the German language pack is no longer available.

Do you think you will upgrade to a later version?.

No, I can't see the point. 2007 does all I need it to. The German issue was largely a one-off so I will live with it.
