How to add music in FLAC to WMP 12 library

Problem finally solved!
I found the link for the WMPTag that works here on the Shark007 forum: FLAC in WMP
I´m testing now and the files form all flac, including the folder with 13 albums that was not even showing here, now works.
Thank you for the help!

I agree, my experience with the software from BM-Productions is that it doesnt work very well.
Shark007, I had expected better from you...

What more would you expect? The user, too, tried your software and it failed.

My experience with your software is similar. I do not have the time to make bug reports to you when it is an easier choice to remove your software and install a similar software that actually does work.

The user, too, all on their own, tested your product, and it failed them. Too subsequently searched for answers and proceeded to remove your product and installed a working flac tagging product from Softpointer.

Playing back FLAC files isn't the responsibility of WMP Tag Plus, so again, saying that it failed is premature. There's still a chance that the playback error is indirectly caused by the plug-in, but that would really surprise me. This would be the first time I hear of such a thing, and WMP Tag Plus has been available for more than a year and a half now.

I have no problem with people preferring the Softpointer plug-in, but those should note that it hasn't been updated for a long time. I can also speak from personal experience that the Softpointer people don't provide any support for it, so if you're having a problem with the plug-in, you're on your own. Not to mention the extra features from WMP Tag Plus that it misses.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to simply say "WMP Tag Plus" instead of "software from BM-productions". The latter is confusing and can be
easily misunderstood as "all software from BM-productions". There are other programs from BM-productions that are completely unrelated to WMP Tag Plus. Just a suggestion.

I understand the "why" you are so concerned about my post here, to explain that is not the hole company's (BM-productions) that is defective. Anyway, I did searched everywhere I could to solve this problem, tried diferent codec packs, plugins, install and uninstall everything, try with and without SRS plugin (guys form SRS said it would not affect one type of file it would, would be the whole player sound), tried a codec pack that I thought even the Shark007 that I use for years was the problem. As my final conclusion the WMP Tag Plus was the faulty part here and the solution was the WMPTag. So far it's working well, I don't know if the product works well on other machines bur here just didn't and on the other one I will not even try, it's working the same as here so I can't recommend WMP Tag Plus for anyone, I just can say it brought me only trouble like the Windows 7 Codec Pack for Windows Media Player WMP12 and Media Center that I thought it solved my problem there but I had to clean my registry, and rebuild my media lybrari, witch has a lot of files, took me 30 min. or more to rebuild everything in a quad 2.83Mhz with two RAID 0 7200rpm disks.
I'm sorry to refer at the WMP Tag Plus the wrong way, but I'm thankful for you to understand why I did this, as much as to Shark007 why I referred to Windows 7 Codec Pack for Windows Media Player WMP12 and Media Center on that post. I just described my experience here and what I expected from it.

So I guess that the playback errors were occurring even with a FLAC codec installed?

If it's an issue with WMP Tag Plus, then it's definitely pretty rare. The right approach would have been to contact me by e-mail, so I could troubleshoot the issue and try to come up with a fix.

If you want to keep using the Softpointer plug-in, then I suggest that you use an external tag editor (like Mp3tag) to verify that changes made in the library are actually written to the FLAC files themselves. The plug-in didn't do this on my system when I tested it a while ago. If the changes aren't written to file, then you can easily lose them all again, for example, when WMP's library gets corrupted.

Also, the Softpointer plug-in won't read the length of FLAC files, which makes seeking impossible when they are played from the library.

Thank you for the link, I'm planing on formatting my PC in a few months then I'll try everything again to post the results here for everybody. I just won't install nothing else now because it's playing, even that there is the seeking problem as you mentioned. I just want to avoid to rebuild all the library again.
I still cannot be sure what went wrong here, if was the combination of everything, somethings, I just don't have the time to test it right now.
One thing is certain though, I'll not change the codec pack and or be without the srs, the sound changes completely. Also I don't know but could be some Realtek issue? I mean it's the only different thing between the two Pc's, and I forgot to mention that earlier, sorry about that.
Again thank you all for the help, if I had to convert all my cd's and my files again, I would never finish it, that's for sure!

I doubt that it's caused by Realtek, but I can't say for sure without further troubleshooting.
