Hi,

When I place the cursor over a Jpeg, a box appears with some data, i.e. format (jpeg), date modified and size. What I would like to do is be able to customize the data that is shown to say, date taken, size, dimensions and camera model. I can't find any way of changing this, even for pictures where full exif data is present. (I realise that if no exif data is present, only basic data can be shown).

Also, when I click on a jpeg, a bar opens at the bottom of the window that gives loads of info, but only if you click in the bar and choose "large". Again, is there any way to be able to choose what data is shown, and hide data for other things. For instance, I have no use for star rating or tags, and would like to hide those attributes completely.

Thanks.

Hi

I don't know if this toll works or not because it was made for xp and vista, but made by microsoft. So it might happen that you install it and it won't work at all.
says:
'Enhanced hover tips. Hover tips have been enhanced for JPEG, TIFF and other supported file types in Windows Explorer.'

Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft Pro Photo Tools

First you have to go through some windows validating stuff...
I installed it but i could not try it out because i have all kinds of hover tips disabled :/

Good luck

Hi Speedgamer01,

thanks for your reply, I've had a quick squint at this, but it seems to be mainly for adding GPS data to the photo metadata for use with Google maps.

Win7 x64 already allows you to alter or append a lot of the metadata, but what I'm after is some way to rearrange this data, or shuffle it so simply placing the cursor over a jpeg (or whatever format) will give data specific to my requirements. Likewise, the data at the bottom of the window after clicking on a jpeg requires shuffling, so when the bar is set to small it gives me pertinent information without me having to open the bar up to large.
