Hi all,

I'm trying to add a driver to windows>system32>drivers but every time I drag the .sys file in it tells me I need to authorise the folder for this to work.

I have only one user on the lap top and have ensured that this is the admin account and it has full permissions yet it still tells me to authorise it but I can't work out how to do this!

FYI I am trying to install a game for which I have a damaged disk and am trying to make a disk image. Here is the pop up I get...

The 'security shield' makes me think if you click it it will take you to the place where you need to change the permissions (well it would on my Mac!

)

As I said above, I have got the highest permissions as far as I can tell but I just can't work out what to change!!!

Please help because I am really missing my game and can't get the disk to work :(

Also, I have performed this same task on a previous windows 7 machine which makes this even more puzzling!

Please help!

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

richc46 - I guess you mean right click on the button... this does nothing.

Brink - It looks like it has copied but then when I use a Virtual CD Rom program to install the driver it is not visible, which makes me think that it doesn't think I've given it the right permission!

Ggrrr!
