How to change a graphics card shared memory?

I have a nvidia GeForce 9400 GT, how can a change the shared memory because for some reason its taking 1.5gb of my precious ram! Can I change it or will I have to buy a less ram thirsty graphics card

Go to bios setup look for the shared memory option there

I can't find that anywhere, and I have no idea what my bios is

restart your computer and then press DEL to enter bios setup

**9400 GT is not an integrated graphic card so why does it eat shared memory

I have no idea, it never shared memory untill I installed a second 2gb ram stick?? And theres no shared memory optiion on my bios

is that so the problem is not your graphic card it is the OS it self the reason is your using a 32bit OS if if you have a ram greater than 4gb it will display 3.5gig usable that is the limitation of 32bit OS

It's 2.5gb usable, not 3.5gb

1.5-4=2.5

Anyway I will upgrade to 64bit and see if that fixes but this problem never happend when i had 2gb of ram

you sure?? most people experience 3.5gb usable even i encountered 3.5gb usable ram when i first upgraded well anyway when you upgrade i hope it will fix your problem
