Solved How to change icon for external storage

Hi guys, I have a 2TB external storage (AC power source).

Usually I click properties, then customise, but there doesnt seem to be a "Change Icon" option.

What am I missing?

one way of doing it is to have two files in the root folder of your drive.

1 - a file called Autorun.inf containing the following:

[Autorun]
icon=Icon1.ico

2 - the actual icon itself, in this case called Icon1.ico

i've attached mine as an example, i've had to zip them up as i can't seem to upload the files as they are, due to their extensions.



if you use your own custom icon, you'll need to modify the autorun.ico file so it contains the same name as your icon (- or rename your icon, so it matches the filename in autorun.ico)
