Hallo,

A while ago a new Windows program was installed on my PC by the computer-tech guy who always fixes my computer.

The program was called "Windows Eternity". I don't know if this was illegal or not, but the tech guy seem highly impressed by his installation.

One day, we had a power surge - the computer went out. I turned it on again and Windows Eternity was completely gone and in its place Windows 7. (?!?!)

I've had Windows 7 before and noticed a difference between the two - the Windows 7 I once had, had a smooth, see through theme. The new Windows is grey and ugly - its appearance looks OLD.

I don't care about WIndows Eternity or whatever, 7 will do just fine.

But How can I change its ugly appearance back to the old smooth, see through appearance?

THANK YOU!!

In that case, I think it's time your smug tech-guy removed the software.

Did he get your permission first? If not, give him a blast.

Have you tried uninstalling Windows Eternity?

You could also try a system restore to a point in time before the power surge occurred.
