Hello!

I am an administrator at a school.
We have around 600 computers.
Default setting is to have winupdate deactivated.

A new schoolyear is coming, and its time to update the computers.
it would be easier of course to do this without me walking around to each and every computer to install the updates.

I have found a way to activate and enable windows update with cmd, but I have not found a way to make the computers find and install updates.

I am not familiar with powershell, so please, if possible, tell me how to do it with cmd.

I am sorry for somewhat bad english.

So what I am asking is; is there a command which makes the computers search and install updates automatically?

As far as your problem goes, post on that forum, they are VERY good with powershell and know exactly how to get you where you need to be. The guru on Powershell (Don Jones) actively posts on that forum and if ANYONE knows how to do what you want, it's him.

Getting started with Powershell, again I point to Don Jones. He has a natural ability to teach it and he is very passionate about it so you really learn a lot.

A series where he goes from installing Powershell to advanced topics.

You can also find various free (sort of outdated but still effective at the basics) ebooks if you look around. I think Microsoft releases older powershell books free on technet and their other sites. Also, if you have Microsoft Virtual Academy, there is a ton of powershell videos there that are also great.
