i have a Seagate 2TB expansion drive plugged into my Telstra Gateway Max (technicolor TG799vac) modem (ADSL2+). i would like to set it up as a download resource for all the gaming files and mods i have created for rfactor. i have no idea what is required to set it up and i'm not even sure what to look for to do it either, i have seen the word NAS mentioned but i really would like more info. is there a tutorial somewhere as i cant really find much that can help.

thanks in advance.

fair call that you might not have the same modem, but surely someone will have an idea in general terms as to what is required............at least it would be a starting point, rather than just no one saying anything.

as for a manual, theres nothing in the box but an install cd for the software and after checking, the only thing of any importance was the FAQ and no mention of adding hard drives to modems

I looked online and it seems that many are having problems finding a manual.
Other than you giving your I.S.P. a call I really don't know how to help. Sorry.

those modems are a piece of crap, dont waste ur time or u'll end up with a big pain in the butt

it will not work properly under load and your will have it rebooting itself.

get a decent modem/router to do the job.
