How to create an autostart key in the registry

I have problem with appearance of language bar, there for I would like to learn step by step how to create an auto start key in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) and which number should I put in the value box?

Auto start key? could you explain what you are trying to do?

In that location, right-click on the Right pane window, New > String Value. Name this string to what you want, then right-click it, in the Value Date, just copy the whole directory to the executable you want to Run. That should do it.

Perhaps it would be best if you explain the problem that you are having with the language bar?
- Is it not appearing?
- Are your selected languages not there?

The reason I ask this is because we need to know what result you want to achieve. If you aim is to make the windows language bar appear then the autostart registry entry is not the place for this.

The autostart entry is simply a link to a program. For example (and to keep this language related), I have an entry for the google pinyin converter as I prefer to use this when I type in Chinese. The entry is a string value as follows:
"C:\Program Files\Google\Google Pinyin 2\GooglePinyinDaemon.exe"

I'm sorry, i forget to menchen which path I would like to add. It's ( ctfmon.exe ) which fixes the appearance problem of the language bar. I hopp that my request is clear now!

I did all what you talled apov and I rebooted the machine but the language label doesn't appear! do you think something whent wrong?

Ok, what happens when you actually double click that .exe. Does it appear? I tested that i posted for one of my program (an .exe) and it works.

I put the string ("%SystemRoot%\system32\ctfmon.exe") in the registry and I rebooted the machine but the language label doesn't appear! do you think something went wrong?

Ok, what happens when you actually double click that .exe. Does it appear? I tested that i posted for one of my program (an .exe) and it works.

when I put-ctfmon.exe-in the start search box and click on ctfmon icon. the language label appears but when I restart the machine it disappears again!

Ok, the search comes up and you click on ctfmon.exe. If you right-click it instead and choose Properties. You see the Tartget directory right. Ok what is it? Let me do a sample registry for you.

If you want it for the Current use, it look like This ,,,,See first first attachment
For All Users it would look like HKLM

If you only wanted it for the Current use it would like like HKCU

For HKLM. you néed to reboot. I can't remember my [paassword for my screen cast photo upload because I can't remember r the password as my Windows 7 machine is down at the moment.

I'm the only user of my laptop and my wish is to let the language lable allwyes appears on task bar. I made in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) a new string-"%SystemRoot%\system32\ctfmon.exe"-I Named it-ctfmon.exe- and I restart but the label doesn't appear!

I down loaded an reg-entry (129 bytes)from an ather site and I run it. finally the problem has been successfully solved.
