Solved How to create Primary and logical partitions in my new harddisk

64 GB for windows is too small. I wouldn`t go any less then 150 GB.

Remember, you should be installing all your programs (games not included, but that is a matter of choice) on C for disk image purposes.
150GB for C drive! All my programs along with OS the size was 30GB in my last hdd, then why do I need 150GB? I install all my games in D: (primary) drive so that my main partition C: stay clear.

Yes DavidE you were right about boot manager, I've already completed the partition and installation using the installation cd (creating one partition) before seeing your reply. Why Windows Create this System Resereved Anyway!

If my OS were installed on un-partitioned space, was it possible to create other partitions later reducing the first partitions size? Was it easier?

Below is my newly created hdd (it's my first). Is evirything OK?

I don't see any problems in your Disk Management screen print.
The System Reserved partition is System / Active, so that's where your boot code is.
The partition is Boot so that's where Windows is installed. I don't understand if you installed into unallocated space or a pre-defined partition, but i don't see a problem with what you have now. You have 3 Primary partitions and 2 Logical partitions. That's OK, but it is the max number of Primary partitions on that HD. Just don't do anything that converts to DYNAMIC, or you will have problems. You should get prompted if you do something and Windows wants to convert to DYNAMIC, don't click OK, Cancel it !

So that means DYNAMIC is dangerous  I will certainly keep that in mind DevidE. At least there is no problem in my settings then. Now I'm refilling my hdd with loads of Software and audio-videos again :D

Thanks everyone who helped me to perform my first partitioning work.

Yup, converting to DYNAMIC has caused many folks problems, requiring a complete re-install.
