How to delete Windows 7 from Dual boot

Hello all,

I have windows XP and Windows 7 (Dual Boot). I want to delete windows 7 from it as my computer becomes really laggy. I have Pentium D as processor with 2 GB DDR2 RAM.

So can you please tell me as to how delete the partition? Will install Fedora in its place.

You can actually doing it by going into the Windows 7 Install disk. Once you get to the point on which partition you would like to install, just delete the partition you have with Windows 7 installed on.

Please post screenshot of disk management first. I want to know where the boot files are located.

Not that simple! Maybe boot manager is on WIN7 partition! First prove it isn't!
And if boot manager is on winxp partition he most likely wants to restore the winxp boot loader so NTLDR

2.8 GHz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Pentium D

So windows should work fine right? Maybe XP is causing problem. So if I delete xp will that stop my computer from lagging ?

Also windows 7 is loaded by default and I don't get option to choose which windows to load during boot up.

run msconfig->Boot tab. Is winxp still listed? What is the timeout setting there?
Winxp and win7 aren't interfering . It doesn't cause the lagging.

Well I am on mobile atm and will check the commands when on pc. But my comp really lags a lot. Any reasons behind it?

Well it just lags after boot up....After using it for say 30 mins, it reduces a bit but doesn't vanish. The specs are sufficient for Windows 7 I guess.

Let it boot and wait about 5 minutes after logging on. All services are started now. Is it really slow? Or just sort of freezing for some time? In every application?

Don't expect to much ... only 1 GB of memory. NETBOOKS aren't designed to run heavy applications

Well I am not talking of my netbook. I am talking of my desktop.

I am aware that netbooks can't run heavy apps. I just use it for browsing.

Try working through these steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware in particular establishing a Clean Boot, checking System File integrity, running cleanup and boot-time defrag.

If that fails to solve the hang work through all of the steps including hardware testing in these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

Well computer freezes for a while when I open say opera and there's a lag when I move the cursor on the desktop/home screen.
