HOw to directly address 2nd PC on the client router, from behind AP ?

need help here.
months ago before changing a router I had an AP, and a 2nd router set as a Client Bridge, so pc's on one could detect pc's on the other. Can't recreate that for some reason [another long thread] but what I did get up and running is 2nd router in Client [wireless client] mode, so the 2nd router is pulling its internet access from the AP, but the addressing on the 2nd router is different [DHCP is enabled, and the router's ip is different: 192.168.2.1, whereas the AP is .1.1 and doles out its devices as .1.110 & up ... which is strange]
So, I have a 7 pc behind the 2nd router [the client router] which is addressed as 192.168.2.122

how do I directly access that PC from one that is wirelessly connected to the AP [i.e. an address of 192.168.1.117] ??? what's the syntax?

I can't really envision your network set up as it seems kind of backwards to me. If you need direct access to the other network machines then they should all be using the same default gateway obviously enough.

Ideally you should set the router as the gateway by plugging it into the modem using the "WAN PORT" with DHCP enabled. The A/P is typically plugged into a switch which is wired to the router with DHCP turned off. This way the A/P will get it's IP from the router and the default gateway address will be the same for both of them, which is as it should be on a typical network.

Any machine connecting to the A/P will obtain it's IP and default gateway from the router rather than the A/P.

guess I don't see anything unusual: router 1 is config'd as an AP, attached via wan port to the roadrunner modem. very rudimentary. router 1 doles out dhcp. router 2 is a wireless client. it too doles out its own addresses. I have a pc or three on router 2. they have addresses. I was asking how to directly negotiate with one of those pc's, from a pc that is behind Router 1 [the AP].

In addition.....the second router should have DHCP turned off. In order for all your computers to negotiate in your Local Area Network (LAN), they have to be in one Subnet which will have a mixed of both wired and wireless computers.
Perhaps this Tutorial might be helped on how to connect your second router to the existing one.

unfortunately, there can be no physical wired connection between the twain, which the article seems to presume.
also, there is no mention of setting the default gateway [which I'm still fuzzy about, but other articles I consulted say the 2nd has to have the primary a.p. as the default g'way]. Then, if one makes a mistake, yer hosed. no addresses, no communique'. dhcp disabled. since 'client' mode is already up and running [wirelessly], would it make sense to :
- set the 2nd router's address to something within the band addressed by the AP
- What about the WAN mode? static? PPOE? DHCP? Disabled?
- Define the Default Gateway to be the primary/1st Router/in-AP-mode ?

and, regards the order of these adjustments, is it best to hold off on the 'apply' to the bitter end?
