Hi guys

So the problem is that now that I have a new smart phone, I don't need to forward my hotmail emails to my gmail account. However, removing it from the list of forwarding addresses doesn't stop the email forwarding. Just for clarification, the route I took to disable the forwarding:

1. Options -> More options
2. Managing your account: Email forwarding
3. Delete the forwarding address, then click the "Don't forward" button
4. Save

I have no idea why it still forwards the emails. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It's not a huge inconvenience, I just get all my emails to my phone now as duplicates, which is annoying, and clearly this isn't how the system is supposed to work.

Any help will be much appreciated :)

If I understand you correctly you were forwarding from hotmail to gmail, then using the smart phone to log into gmail to collect the emails? Might the phone be pulling emails directly from hotmail?

Yep, Hotmail -> Gmail, with keeping a copy of forwarded emails on Hotmail. After buying the phone, I disabled the forwarding. Below a picture.

Hope it works, haven't used skydrive yet to share pictures.

On my phone(Nokia Lumia 800 using WP7), I have a live tile for hotmail and a live tile for gmail, so when I receive an email to hotmail, it gets forwarded(with a copy kept on hotmail inbox) to the gmail adress, thus resulting in both live tiles going up in number. As far as I know, the phone is not the source of the problem, as I tried to unsuccessfully disable the forwarding already before buying the phone.

Anyone? Still haven't managed to solve the problem :) Am I the only one with this problem?

I guess I will try creating a dummy account and see if I can replicate the problem.
