How to disable readyboot (not readyboost)

I notice with resource monitor that readyboot.etl is often being written to, sometimes causing a lot of disk thrashing - and not just when my PC is idle.

How can I disable it? I've searched and searched and can't find an answer to this seemingly simple question. I'll live with a slightly longer boot time if I can stop this readyboot.etl from being written to constantly.

I've found how to disable the logging:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger\ReadyBoot

and set "Start" to zero.

But how can I be sure I've actually disabled the process?

I did read that. Here's the problem. The last post links to a seemingly simple way to turn it off. BUT - I don't seem to have that option. It says:

Run the "Performance Monitor".
Go to "Data Collector Sets" on the left.
Double click "ReadyBoot" on the right.

But When I click on "Data Collector Sets" on the left, I don't have "Readyboot" on the right. I have a few things there, but not Readyboot.

Why wouldn't I have that there?

EDIT:
I did notice that under Data Collector Sets>Event Trace Sessions, it is listed. Also, Under Data Collector Sets>Startup Event Trace Sessions, it is listed. Is that what he means? It's currently enabled under Event Trace Sessions, but disabled under Startup Event Trace Sessions.
