Solved How to duplicate display using hdmi to cat5e converter

I setup a new computer with windows 7 pro with a msi hd6450 video card.
I am trying to duplicate my desktop to a TV using a HDMI to cat5e converter.
I change my setting on my display to duplicate desktop and apply. I rebooted my computer and the windows 7 startup screen shows on both screens, but when I login the TV screen goes to no signal. My desktop monitor is plugged into the vga plug and the TV is plugged into the hdmi.

I don't have a detailed knowledge of this specific graphics card but I'm sure I read that it will only support either HDMI or VGA. If you disconnect your VGA does Windows display on the TV?

I know this card can support using both DVI and VGA at the same time (I do it at work), but UKMedia might be right about using HDMI with VGA.

Why are you using a cat5e converter, just run hdmi all the way to the tv.

It is in my office, so it will be Monday before I can work on it.
The TV is about 25 ft. from the computer that is why I am using a converter.

I have seen 30ft HDMI cables for sale on eBay. Or also a connector to connect 2 shorter cables into a longer one.
