How to edit the audio track of MP4 Video files

Hello! I would like to be able to enhance the quality of the audio track on MP4 videos shot with my cell phone. Is there a freeware app that imports MP4 and enables this? I don't want to replace the audio track, just tweak it. Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

Audacity will open and edit MP4 files not sure how much can be done to re- integrate the audio to the video

Just fired up and old copy of Windows Live Movie maker and this will allow you to add a "music" track to a video so it may be possible to use audacity to enhance the audio and then use WLMM to re-integrate

I use an old copy of cyberlink Powerdirector that came with a camera or camcorder and this allows some sound editing, enough for me anyways
