I have 3 Drives in my 2013 Homebuilt system:
1.) 120 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
2.) 1TB Seagate spinning HDD partitioned into 3 virtual Drives: G:, H:, & K:.
3.) 1TB Removable USB backup drive.

I have My Documents located under G:>Libraries>Documents>My Documents.
At some point in the past, I went to backup the My Documents folder to the USB drive and mistakenly copied it back into the same root partition for G: drive, ie. G:>My Documents.
So I now have had 2 My Documents folders in close proximity for some time and I am not sure what I have placed into which folder.

I would like to compare the contents of the two folders and sub folders, delete any duplicates in the G:>My Documents folder and integrate the remaining files and folders into to original My Documents folder under the Libraries.

Can anyone recommend a (hopefully) simple method to accomplish this task?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Yogi

Problem could be that you do not know which folder contains the latest versions of files/subfolders, so Snick's method is best.

Well, Sports Fans, it appears that I DO NOT have a duplicate file problem after all.

I downloaded, installed and opened the CloneSpy program recommended in the TechSpot article, above. When I tried to select "Documents" under the "Libraries" section, CloneSpy informed me that it was NOT a folder. So, I right clicked on My Documents under Libraries>Documents>My Documents and G:\My Documents. In checking the Properties for both of these My Documents listings, I found that they were exactly identical down to the exact byte and the very same date and time of creation.

So, I never did create a duplicate My Docs folder, MS just lists them that way in Windows 7.

So much worry over nothing.

Thanks for your prompt help and suggestions, anyway fellas!
