During an upgrade from XP to Windows 7 Ultimate I used Easy Transfer.
Towrads the end of the transfer back to the computer from an external disk, the transfer crashed.
I was able to complete the upgrade but a few files are missing.
I am unable to transfer again the files.
Is there a way to look into the MIG files, locate certain files and extract them?
BTW, the external disk I was using had a few bad sectors.
May thanks,

Great find, Derek.

I'd also run a surface scan on external followed by File System check using free Partition Wizard bootable CD to see if the files free up. http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html

This is yet another reason not to use transfer apps for files and settings. It is much easier to drag and drop your active User files to external, then back into new install.

I would not import settings (hidden AppData folders) as they are a corruption path into a fresh install from old one.

Thanks Greg,

It does seem like easy transfer is anything but easy, I agree drag and drop works perfectly.
