How to extract rar file that have zip files inside

Large downloaded file often come in parts I understand the method ..extracting these parts are where I get confused I often see many parts or one zip file..or so..its the different ways of extraction where I get confused..when I select say a large compressed one it extracts to show a rar or series of rar file which then have to be extracted to show the compressed data..it seems a simple task and hard to explain. I am sure I am not re-inventing the wheel here..but I need help..anyone..

You will see the files named R00, R02, R03 etc.. all you need to do is start the extraction of R00 and the rest should be extracted automatically...

However ... if the filenames end in something like .001, .002, etc, it's likely that any unrar program will not be able to expand them because the original file has been split into pieces that the unrar programs can not handle.

In that case, you would need to use HJ_Split to recombine the .00n pieces back into the original file.

If you Google for that, you will find that it is Freeware and can be installed in a variety of ways.

To the best of my knowledge, zips will not automatically unpack in sequence like rars will, so the individual zips must be unpacked one by one. The reason there are rars inside of zips is to fool AV software, which will not usually look two archives deep for malware, so whomever packed your file believes (for some reason or another) what's inside will trigger an AV response.
